VANDA ŠÍPOVÁ

A graduate of the Prague Conservatoire, Vanda Šípová studied voice with Václav Zítek and currently with Christina Vasileva. She has performed at the J.K. Tyl Theatre in Plzeň, the F.X. Šalda Theatre in Liberec and the National Theatre Brno. Her repertoire includes the roles of the Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte), Gilda (Rigoletto), Ophélie (Hamlet) and Glauce (Médée). She has worked on contemporary crossover projects (she sang at the gala opening and closing of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in 2017, and performed in the musical The Phantom of the Opera and Bernstein’s Mass). Moreover, she has appeared in drama productions (Studio hrdinů in Prague, the National Theatre Brno, the J.K. Tyl Theatre in Plzeň). Vanda Šípová has garnered accolades at international competitions, including the Vissi D’Arte in Prague (second prize), the Concours musical international de Montréal (first prize), the Antonín Dvořák International Vocal Competition in Karlovy Vary (the Slovak National Theatre Prize), and won other awards. At the Prague National Theatre she debuted as Helga (Ivan Acher: Sternenhoch) in April 2018.

 

JIŘINA DVOŘÁKOVÁ MAREŠOVÁ

After having studied organ at the Prague Conservatoire in the class of Prof. Josef Popelka and at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague under Doc. Jaroslav Tůma, she perfectioned her art at the Musikhochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg under Prof. Wolfgang Zerer. Jiřina has alsoattended a number of international masterclasses. She specialises in concert and compositional practice at home and abroad, stylish interpretation of baroque music and organ improvisation.
